Intuitive. Grounded. Truth Seeker.
Being a life & leadership coach isn't something I planned. It took a health crisis and a startup that couldn't scale for me to see what I was missing in my life's work...to see my calling. And after a 9-month sabbatical from work during which I completed life coach training, I'm now on a path to pursue my purpose with passion.
My training to be a life coach brought powerful tools to help me and others thrive in life and in leadership. I’ve blended this with almost three decades of experience as a scientist, policy maker, public relations executive, academic, strategy consultant in the science and tech industries, bank and non-profit board member, and co-founder/CEO of a communications technology startup company. Through my career, I've worked with a lot of emerging and established leaders who ran businesses ranging from the smallest to some of the largest. Most companies were privately owned or investor backed, and a few were publicly traded. I served as a informal coach to those leaders.
I'm a socio-biologist by training, which means I have a keen eye for patterns in human behavior and nature. I'm also fluent in "geek speak" and can translate just about anything complicated for the layperson. But most of all, I understand people and have an intuitive sense of their strengths and how to position them to lead. I'm certified in the Keirsey Temperament Sorter and the Hogan Assessment. I completed my life coach training and certification with the Martha Beck Institute in early 2017, and I'm currently training with the Koelle Institute for Equus Coaching.
Being in nature is where I feel most alive -- whether riding a horse, digging in my garden, or standing in a mountain stream. I'm writing a book about how "Being Wilder" showed me my best life, how to lead, and how to heal my body, mind, and spirit. I'll let you know when it's ready for an audience!
I look forward to working with you to help you find your way to peace, passion, and purpose by moving your personal and professional bottlenecks out of the way. Please fill out the form on the right to start the conversation. We’ll get to know each other, check our fit, and get started on helping you move from good to great!

Where I Coach
I live in the heartland of the United States -- Kansas City to be specific. So, if you live nearby, we can coach in person. If you don't live nearby, we'll coach on the phone and video. Facetime and Skype work well to connect us across the miles, even if you're half a world away. I'm also happy to travel to you if it makes sense for our coaching process.
Books I Recommend
I was an early reader in life, and it's rare for me to not have my nose in a book when I have a spare moment. It's a bit of an addiction fed by my magical Kindle. It always knows what book to recommend for the next phase in my journey. Apparently, it has a direct connection to the Universe! It's rare for me to ignore its suggestions.
My library is vast, so I have included the authors that have been most impactful to me in the last three years. Their words of wisdom all came right when they were needed most. I consider these authors my "friends" and part of my tribe. My gratitude is beyond measure for their willingness to tell their stories so they could help me with mine. I share these with you, in the chance they might be a helpful guide in your story as well.
Click on any of the books in my library and you'll be transported to the magical fairyland of Amazon Books where you too can feed your book fetish. Happy Reading!
