Intuitive. Grounded. Strategist.
I became a coach and consultant for business owners after almost three decades of business experience as a scientist, policymaker, public relations executive, academic, strategy consultant in the science and tech industries, bank and non-profit board member, and co-founder & chief storyteller of a marketing technology startup company. I've seen what works and what doesn't for business owners and have a knack for building sustainable growth strategies.
Throughout my career, I've worked with a lot of emerging and established leaders who ran businesses ranging from the smallest to some of the largest. Most companies were privately owned or investor-backed, and a few were publicly traded.
I'm a socio-biologist by training, which means I have a keen eye for patterns in human behavior and nature. I'm also fluent in "geek speak" and can translate just about anything complicated for the layperson. But most of all, I understand people and have an intuitive sense of their strengths and how to position them to lead.
I'm certified in the Keirsey Temperament Sorter and the Hogan Assessment. I completed my life coach training and certification with the Martha Beck Institute in early 2017 and my training and certification with The Center for Equus Coaching in 2018.
I look forward to helping you drive sustainable growth for your business. Please fill out my contact form to start the conversation. We’ll get to know each other, check our fit, and get started on helping you make your business more sustainable.

My Coaching Philosophy
Through one-on-one sessions via Zoom, we assess the problems and opportunities associated with your business. Then we work through your desires for a more sustainable business. We'll likely see some things holding you back along the way, and we'll work through those. I have a variety of tools to help you see your situation with fresh eyes and find a way that perhaps hasn’t occurred to you before.
As a coach, my job is to form hypotheses about what’s happening with you and your business and then give you something to push against. You won’t hurt my feelings by saying I’m wrong...that’s how we clarify what's going on and question what feels true. Finding comfort in discomfort is a key trait of entrepreneurs, so we will practice that together.
You’ll hear me ask “why” a lot. And sometimes those “whys” will feel like dumb questions. But go with it, I’m usually asking for a very good reason. I will also ask you to suspend some of your beliefs about the way things "should be" and consider that your interpretation might not be serving you well. Together, we will explore new beliefs that serve your entrepreneurial interests better. And of course, our work together is 100% confidential.
Where I Coach
I live in the heartland of the United States -- Kansas City to be specific. All of my coaching sessions are conducted via Zoom. So no matter where you live, I'm here to support you virtually!
